I'm glad to see Open Studio Weekend back at the beginning of October, after a few other times of year have been tried. The Mill Centre will have at least 9 artist studios open, with a variety of media for you to look at. Just wandering the building, an old canvas sail factory, is fascinating as well. There is plenty of free parking in the lot at Darby and Mill, opposite the main entrance to the building.
I have been experimenting this summer with a few different ideas, and have around 14 new paintings available. I've also taken time off from painting as furiously as I did the previous year to go swimming, relax, and read. One thing I haven't done as much as I would like is visit with friends, so please come by, even if you aren't in the market for a new painting.
There are still some sale paintings available, as well as some free art books!
Studios will be open 10 to 6 pm both days, except on Saturday I will have to close at 4:30. All others will remain open. Other artists and studios throughout the city will be open as well. I look forward to seeing you!
